Course changes - The ONLY acceptable reasons to change your timetable:

  •  "Required course not scheduled" appears at the bottom of timetable.
  • Student is registered in a course for which he/she does not have the prerequisite.
  • Timetable shows a course the student has already successfully completed.

(e.g. Course taken at Summer School - you need to bring your marks.)

  • Student needs to add a course to complete timetable or to meet post-secondary/high school diploma requirements.

2009/10 Caution Fee Refund

At the beginning of their grade 10 year, all students were assessed a $50.00 caution fee to cover possible loss or damage to textbooks, etc.  This is the last year for this charge at Fort High.

Grade 12 families will receive a refund cheque with their report cards.  Returning grade 10 and 11 students will have the caution fee credited to their 2010/11 school fees.

First day of Class

Classes resume on Monday, August 30. Check out the EIPS' system calendar for a complete list of holidays and school closure days for 2010/2011. This calendar will assist you in planning vacations and appointments for your children.

Student transportation is provided at no cost to all students living greater than 2.39 km from school.   Families accessing payride or school-of-choice busing pay a fee for this service. General information, applicable fees, and FAQs about busing are available on the Student Transportation page of the EIPS' division website.

All families using EIPS' student transportation services should have received a letter in May outlining route information and times as well as applicable fees. We encourage parents to take advantage of the EIPS' secure online payment option to pay transportation fees. Pay before June 30 and save $25.

Welcome!

Welcome to Fort Saskatchewan High School and home of the Sting!  This is your opportunity to explore and plan for three of the most exciting years of your life!

Fort High is an outstanding school with a history that spans over 100 years.  We are very proud to have a school that offers a wide range of programming to all students.  The staff is dedicated to assisting students to excel in all areas, whether it be the academic programs, the technology areas or the fine arts programs.  We also have tremendous opportunities for extracurricular involvement through athletics and T.E.A.M. Leadership.  There is something for each and every student at Fort High!

Sting Style is dedicated to courtesy, commitment, dedication, tolerance, respect, teamwork and sportsmanship.  It is the way that students and staff will conduct themselves everyday in the classroom, the hallway, the gymnasium, in other schools and in the community.  The school is dedicated to discovering, developing and maximizing each student's potential - intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

We invite you to become a part of the tradition that is Fort High.  It is an exciting and vibrant place to be!
