Dear Fort High Grad Families,
Thank you for your continued patience as we navigate the ongoing health pandemic and the restrictions associated with it.
As you are all aware, Fort High has been online since May 4th and will continue to do so until May 25th. While we are confident that we will be able to continue to provide high quality education for our students, the newly imposed restrictions announced yesterday did bring into question our ability to successfully plan and execute a graduation ceremony for our grade 12’s.
In consultation with our Occupational Health and Safety Officer and Superintendent Liguori, we have decided that we will proceed with our plans with some minor changes to ensure that we are following AHS regulations.
The format of our ceremony will be as follows:
- Groups will be limited to TEN people (the grad and nine additional guests). The ceremony will also be live streamed to ensure that family and friends who could not attend can still take part
- Only one grad and their party will be permitted to enter the building at a time (please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your time slot)
We understand that there may be health concerns due to COVID-19. Although we will be following all AHS guidelines, we understand if families choose to opt out of the ceremony.
Check out our Graduation Page on our website for more information.
