Principal’s Message

Dear Fort High School Parents and Guardians,

As September winds down and the leaves begin to turn, we’ve been fortunate to enjoy some wonderful weather—perfect for outdoor learning, athletics, and soaking in the energy of a new school year.

Inside our classrooms and hallways, the momentum is building. Students are settling into routines, teachers are diving deep into instruction, and our school community is already buzzing with achievement and connection. Whether it’s the excitement of our fall sports teams, the creativity emerging in our fine arts programs, or the thoughtful conversations happening in classrooms, Fort High is alive with purpose.

One area we’re especially focused on this fall is student attendance. We recognize that being present in school is one of the most crucial factors in student success, and we’re actively developing strategies to help students attend more consistently. From engaging classroom experiences to supportive outreach, our goal is to reduce absences and ensure every student feels connected and motivated to be here every day.

I want to thank our staff, students, and families for the strong start. Your commitment to learning, growth, and collaboration is what makes this school exceptional. As we approach the end of the month, let’s keep the positivity flowing and continue to support one another in making this year one to remember.

Aaron Tuckwood
Principal

Off Campus/ Work Experience/ RAP/ Green Certificate:

We are excited to be kicking off the 2025/2026 school year in a busy way! The Off Campus programs at Fort High are in full swing! Are you a student at Fort High and have a job? Does your child have a job off campus where they work while not at school? Why not earn credits towards graduation based on the hours completed at that worksite. The work experience program is an education program for high school students that allows them to gain practical hands-on experience in the real-world workplace while earning high school credits for their time and effort. If this sounds like something that is right for you/your child reach out to Jenna Small at jenna.small@eips.ca or have your student book an appointment during school hours using this QR code.
